How does an Acoustic Wrap Fence work? 

This product is made of limp-mass, high-temperature fused vinyl, AKA Mass Loaded Vinyl. The polymer structure of this soundproofing material transforms acoustic/sound energy into small amounts of heat energy. It can therefore reduce low to high sound frequencies by up to 50%.

Product FAQ

Can The Acoustic Fence Wrap 2.10 Grey WG be installed on any kind of fence? 

Yes. As long as there is a structure to install on, it will work for any fence. 

What do I do if the ground is uneven? 

You can fill the holes with soil. We do not want any gaps under the Acoustic Fence Wrap as sound waves travel along the ground. In addition, the product will not rot when it touches the ground or if the soil is placed along the bottom of the material.

What fixings should I use? 

For a timber fence, we recommend 45mm timber wafer head screws with 1inch washers. Refer to install instructions.

How high do I need to cover my fence? 

A standard fence is anywhere between 1.8m – 2m tall. You need to go to the full height of the fence to reduce unwanted noise. Basically the higher the barrier the better the reduction.

How much noise will be reduced once installed? 

If your fence or structure is acoustically transparent, you will get a 50% noise drop (10dB drop) to the human ear.
