Product FAQ

  • What is acoustic timber?

Acoustic Timber is a beautiful, high-performance acoustic treatment designed to realistically imitate timber. Lightweight and semi-rigid, Acoustic Timber is made from 100% polyester fibre—giving you the option of an authentic timber look that meets fire and seismic compliance.

  • How does acoustic timber work?

Acoustic timber absorbs sound waves, reduces their amplitude, and keeps them from reflecting off hard surfaces. This reduces reverberation and echo, resulting in a more pleasant audio environment.

  • What are the benefits of using acoustic timber?

Some of the advantages of using acoustic timber include improved speech intelligibility, lower noise levels, increased privacy, and a more pleasant and delightful acoustic environment overall.

  • Where can acoustic timber be used?

Acoustic timber can be used in a wide range of applications, including wall and ceiling panels, flooring, doors, and furniture. It is commonly used to improve the acoustics in businesses, schools, auditoriums, and restaurants.

  • How is acoustic timber different from regular timber?

Acoustic timber is specifically developed and engineered to have acoustic properties such as sound absorption and diffusion that are not found in conventional timber. This increases the effectiveness of acoustic timber in increasing a space’s acoustic performance.
